Hi, i am going to build a smart flat. Not so smart, like automate houses, but simpler. I want to put termosensors and humidity sensors everywhere and manage them from c web interface. Also i want to see the consumption of electricity, heat, water. To be able to manage heat sources. For example: i am at work, and my day is comming to the end, i open internet browser, type in the address and see what is condition at home, if it is to cool i turn up the heat so when i come home it is already warm. nad so on.

Any similar experiance? May be you have some advices?

I don't have any experience with this, I just want to ask: why do you want to build it yourself? It's not that expensive to get something ready made. Do you just like the tinkering?

Anyway, good luck and have fun!

Well, in Lithuania such products are really expensive, and offer too less or too many options. I want to get the things i need, and it is simpler to troubleshoot problems whent you know everything in your own build.
