hearing aids The aids that are advertised in magazines without using an ear mold, are they any good for people to use?
Hearing aids come in many different types and not everyone can wear any kind he wants. A good technician will suggest a unit based on the patient's hearing loss, comfort, etc.
No. These devices can acutually hurt you, as they may over amplify the frequencies that you may have good residual hearing in causing premature hearing loss in those frequencies. A trained hearing professional evaluation and fitting is the only safe method of obtaining a hearing device.
