A:

It's not what's in these foods, it's what is NOT in them: essential vitamins and nutrients.  A wide variety of fruits and vegetables will provide all kinds of important vitamins.

Also, getting omega-3 fats (like through fish oil) during pregnancy is very important.  It significantly reduces the risk of asthma and allergies in the child.
