Happy Valentine's. Play us a rose, you're organic, man.

Victims of circumstance owe it to fate. Victims of choice owe it to themselves.

They are both analgesics. Ibuprofen has anti-inflammatory properties. Tylenol does not.

A big difference! Both have anti- inflammatory properties, both are good for relieving pain and fever. However acetaminophen can damage your liver, where as Ibuprofen does not. Ibupropfen can be taken by anyone, even dogs, to relieve pain from arthritis, inflammations and fevers. AND Ibuprofen as well is also much more effective at relieving these maladies. Tylenol (the brand name, acetaminophen the generic name) has been shown to be very ineffective in many individuals suffering from severe pain.

Be honest and be true to yourself.

Tylenol can be taken without regard for food.  It can be taken on empty stomach.  Higher doses of Tylenol can cause liver damage.   Therapeutic doses of Tylenol  in alcoholics will cause liver damage.

Ibuprofen has anti-inflammatory properties aside from analgesic action.  It should be taken with milk or meals to minimize gastric discomfort.  It may  cause abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, peptic ulceration with or without gastrointesinal bleeding or perforation.  Ibuprofen may also cause drowsiness, nervousness or syncope.
