I'll search, while you Cool wait.

Was it a Nars brand or Clinique's Black Honey? If not, consider red. In the appropriate shade, the color looks good on any woman.

From my many years of experience of wearing makeup, and after having lived through several different generations of fashion and style, I would be suprised to find a shade that looks good on everyone. I personally wear a different shade for different seasons of the year because my skin tone changes with the weather. I also wear different colors for different occasions. I think that each woman has to factor in her skin tone, her personality, her natural lip color, her lifestyle, etc., in order to pick the best shade for her. What you can do is go to a make up counter and have a professional help you pick out the right shade for you. Usually I go through tons of shades before finding the right one. If you do discover a lipstick shade that looks good on everyone, please let me know! :) Good luck!

Take it from a retired makeup artist; there's no such thing!! the lip color that looks best on you would be one that goes with your skin tone..if you have a cool, or pinkish  skintone, then colors in the cool family; true reds, pinks, etc... if you have a golden or yellow tone, then the opposite color family; corals, brick shades, etc...wearing the wrong lip color (or eyeshadow, etc.) will only take away from your appearance..if you have any further questions, please feel free to email me......
