There is no "best diet" that will fit everyone.  It needs to be based on your food likes and dislikes, as well as your lifestyle.  If you go on a diet that does NOT contain the food you like, you will fail.  It will seem like a "diet" and you won't be able to stay on it for any length of time.  For example, if you like pastas, breads, and potatoes, then a no-carb diet would not work for you.  You should incorporate the foods you love, while controlling your portions.  If you take in MORE calories than you expend each day, you will gain.  If you take in LESS, you will lose.  Eat more fruits, vegetables, and dairy, and stay away from processed food as much as you can.  In addition, increase your activities each day to burn more calories.  Hope this helps.

There's a "multifunctional" diet - I have read on Project Weight Loss about the benefits of The DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet . It is recommended for lowering blood pressure, weight loss, and now the researchers have proven that it may curb the risk of developing kidney stones too.

The best way to lose wait is to go ahead and do it right now. I guess that would be fast food diet. Now if you are talking about weight loss spelled like this, then the best diets are the ones that promote good health. I know of no healthier diet which will also promote fast weight loss than this one here.

The Mucusless Diet Healing System by proffessor Arnold Ehret . The link is to an article that I wrote about it. I will make zero money off of this recommendation so do not be afraid to check it out.

The best diet is no diet at all. Cut down on fwith a high fat content, plenty of veges and fruit. Plenty of water, cut down on tea and coffee and cut out high sugar foods. Change from white bread to either wholemeal  or grain bread, but not too much. If you tend to graze through out the day, (nibble or snack constantly) try celery or carrot sticks, or fruit, lots of fruit.

Exercising!  Walking, lots of walking if you dont want to go outdoors then walking inside, at least 10 minues twice per day.

There is no universal best diet for weight loss. Effectiveness of the diet depends solely on the individual physical constitution of different persons. However a balanced diet that is low on carbohydrate and high on fibre works best for weight loss.

The Atkins Diet worked great for me, lost over 50 pounds and counting. I also workout everyday. If you can live without the starches and sugar then you will feel great on it

http://cli.gs/4H7Dsj There is no way to tell someone a specific diet, we all require different nutrients at different levels. You need to maintain a relationship with your doctor and/or nutritionist.
