I don't know about the popcorn diet, but

hoodia gordonii works pretty good. If you decide to try it, make sure you buy the real thing as there are many varieties of it. Here are some tips on what to look for in real hoodia.

If you eat less calories than your body needs you will lose weight.  Watch out for buttered popcorn.

In my day job I write about Blood Pressure Treatment and treat those who suffer from blood pressure problems. Low blood pressure is a particular interest and I'm often asked about how to lower cholesterol levels. A healthy heart is becoming a huge focus for many of us nowadays. Improving your blood pressure control and thus the health of your heart and circulation system is really important. My most recent online "adventure" is to start a facility for people to ask me my opinion and to provide high quality health information by answering medical questions online.

I also have a special interest in the problem of feeling Tired All the Time and in those who suffer from chronic fatigue or lethargy. This seems to tie in also to skin care issues or skin treatment problems and suggestions. Tiredness and fatigue can lead to major problems for many individuals in modern society and the way that this can affect all areas of general health can be quite invasive in terms of daily life and coping skills.

My work with footballers and athletes leads to a focus on Painful Shoulder conditions and on the problems associated with frozen shoulder or whiplash injuryRotator cuff injury causes problems for many of my patients.

When not working I daydream about my next amazing european vacation trip  My favorite European cities include Paris and Barcelona and my next blog project will be to write about the best way to spend a night in Paris and how to find an apartment in Barcelona. I just love European travel in all its forms.

all I wanted to know was if the popcorn diet worked and what was in it...all I got was why I shouldn't attempt it. I was not looking for advice...just if it worked and what it consisted of. If I eat meat and vegetables I won't stay on it so I thought if I added popcorn it might be a way of lasting longer on the diet. People fast for awhile with no ill affects at least with popcorn if makes you feel full and takes away the temptation to binge.

I was able to lose 25 lbs. in 12 months incorporating popcorn into my diet. I eat a light breakfast and a regular meal for lunch, something like soup and salad and then popcorn for my evening meal. Dinner was killing me because I usually ate a large dinner although healthy. I have been able to stick with this for a year and it shows. I exercise everyday as well. On the weekends I eat what I want within reason and it seems to be working for me. I use a  plastic microwave bowl you can buy at target that is specifically made to pop popcorn without any oils. I use spray butter substitute for flavor. It's not for everyone but it does work because it is low in calories and filling. Good Luck.

I tried the popcorn diet, and it worked. I ate light popcorn which is only 100-110 cals. one bag a day that was divided into 3 meals. If you drink a big glass of water before eating, you will find that the small portion of popcorn almost seems like alot. (coming from a lady who can put away some food). To get your vitamins, simply take multi-vitamins. Do that for appx a week, to start off, then slowly introduce fruits, vegetables, and white meat to your popcorn diet. I lost alot of weight this way and still seem as healthy as can be.

I have maintained an 80lb weight loss for over three years, even though I have PSOS, which is one of the four main hormonal imbalances that affect weight.  This means I gain weight eating over 1300 calories a day, when based on most charts, I should be able to eat 2,000.  Anyway, one of the multiple strategies I use is to eat my main meal at lunch and not eat after 6 PM.  Having popcorn a few times a week for dinner really works out great for me.  I don’t eat much fat, anyway, so I use a little real butter, salt, large flake brewer’s yeast (amazingly good), and some herb like dill or sweet basil.  Of course, I agree with most people that any diet that consists of only one food usually only works in the short term.  I really like popcorn because it is so good and filling.  I don’t go to bed hungry at all.
