There is no question that food made with MSG which is in basically in all take out and restaurant food besides most pre-made foods in the stores causes all kinds of damage to the body and mind but lots of salt and sugar will also do the same. These foods are very addictive and are known for causing eating disorders, huge weight gain and mood swings including the leading cause of depression. Call your daughters Doctor and ask him/her to refer you to a counselor/ psychiatrist/ psychologist who specializes in children with eating disorders.  This was the only way we could help our son.  Unfortunatly there are not many Specialists in the yellow pages (we looked) that will or are trained to deal with children.  It has really helped put things into perspective for us and helped us with counseling for the whole family as well as our son.  We are all working on staying healthy and "lost" our bathroom scale three years ago and counting!  My prayers are with you and your daughter and try not to stress to much about the problem, from my experience it only makes things worse and makes you feel like a horrible person.  Hope this is helpful. :)
