You and your doctor should devise a diet which is best for you. Indeed, it may be helpful to think of it not as a 'diet' but as a new plan for 'healthy living.'

Diets, by their very nature, often end up with limited success since a perceived failure (falling off the 'diet' wagon) can lead to quitting in despair. A lifestyle choice to develop a 'healthy living' plan, therefore, might lead to more success since the focus is more on a healthy goal (with weight loss as a byproduct).

The focus is less on the numbers (weight as reflected by the scale) and more on your body's size and shape, as well as your medical numbers (cholesterol, blood pressure, etcetera).

If you decide to try it, I think you may find that a focus on "living" instead of "watching" (i.e., dieting) may lead to better results. Good luck!

I have never been overweight in my life, but here I am, and I never thought that I would ever have this problem. I am not really big into diets, but I did the South Beach Diet, and you lose 10 pounds every two weeks, and it comes off your belly first.  I stayed on Phase 1 for months, and they don't suggest that you stay on Phase 1 for more than two weeks.  I lost 80 pounds in 4 months.  I also allowed myself one day a week to eat a meal that I wanted, but not to the extremes.  It really worked for me.

Strip that fat. Here is a great review of all the detailed information the program offers. http://www.weightlossconsultant.info

Easy...become a vegan ...eat whole grain breads ... no fat diet .....think about the foods you love and crave and then devise a low fat exciting substitue.
I loved milk shakes ...so I took fruit, Ice . some cold diet soda and made the best fruit smoothie ever ...substitution is awesome...
I love spaghetti meals ...make them with no butter ...use a veggie like eggplant or carrots for the meat .....yum...eat your way to health!

Research and see what kind of life change you can stick with.  Once you have decided make sure the doctor agrees that you are healthy enough of such diet changes.

I did the six week body make over and it is fantastic, I ate healthy, I didn't stick to it one hundred precent but I still lost weight and I had energy.  But it is a way of life for you, if you give up fast food for example and lose, then go back to fast foods it will come back.  When I first went on the 6WBMO plan I felt a sudden burst of energy, then I got sick and it was due to the toxins leaving my body and a week or so later I felt great.  I went off the plan and now I am ready to go back on it, I feel terrible.

Stay low fat it is the key that works and do not deny your cravings it makes it much worse when you do give to it plus it takes 20 min to get full means that you should try to eat slow as you can if you do not think things you like to eat taste that yummy then you are probably eating to much and when you are not hungry plus do not do heavy or to much muscle building exercise or you will bulk to much where you actually look bigger muscle building is important it makes you look healthy stay more tone do it not to the place it makes no sense moderation is best good luck

Hillsborough County, Florida, Deputy Kenneth Moon was alone at his station at a county jail facility near Tampa when an inmate attacked him with no warning. US Quakes Called Aftershocks from 1800s

The small earthquakes that sporadically rattle the central United States may actually be aftershocks from a few extremely large quakes that occurred in the region almost 200 years ago, according to a new study The New Madrid Earthquakes, which struck between December 1811 and February 1812, are some of the strongest seismic events ever to occur in the contiguous United States in recorded history. The heart of the seismic activity was near the town of New Madrid, Missouri, close to the Kentucky and Tennessee borders. The town has shaken with numerous earthquakes since, from tiny ones that don't cause much of a stir, to moderate sized ones, such as a 5.2 quake in 2008.
