I can answer this question only as a layman, and a type 2 diabetic, so don't take it to the bank. Natural sugars, those found in fruits, are just that, natural. Depending on your body and disposition to diabetes, they can be good or bad, but for the most part are harmless, just because they are natural. IF you are disposed to diabetes, they can be dangerous, but that is something to be discussed with your doctor. But, naturally occuring sugars are normally absorbed by the body and used in a normal way, and do not overly affect the insulin the body produces in an adverse way. REFINED sugars, starting with raw or brown sugar and moving up thru regular use white sugar and into confectioner's sugar can be VERY damaging to your body and normal insulin count, simply because they have been purified to an extreme amount, and it takes the body more time and insulin to break it down into usable energy. Again, if you are, or suspect that, you might be a type 2 diabetic, this is something that you should talk over to your doctor, but the best rule of thumb I can give you is "Everything in moderation". Don't overdo anything, and you should be ok with almost any fruit sugars.
