I have a pain in the middle of my chest feels like a bad bruise and I also when I look down with my head the pain goes to my mid back? I haven't done anything stranuess cause this ?

Sounds like a muscle strain to me, but because the chest and neck pain when looking down, you should consult your physician, just to be sure.

It doesn't have to be too strenuous of an effort. Sometime just a small movement in the right (or wrong) direction can cause a great spasm and be very painful. The fact that changing your position changes the pain is relevant I think.

Go easy for a couple of days, and if it still doesn't go, consult your physician.
