Teeth griding also known as Bruxism is caused in 2 main ways:

1. sleeping disorders- when we grind the teeth subconsciously. Then there's some kind of devise that you sleep with that can be the solution- see here.

2. due to stress- when we consciously grind the teeth. The best way to deal with that is some kind of psychology treatment like: stress relieving lessons, anxiety treatment and more.

My dentist made me a night guard to wear while I slept.  It wasn't very expensive -- I believe around $80 or so -- and it was quite comfortable.  I didn't grind my teeth during the day so I only needed it night, but they can also make what's called a "splint" which is similar to a retainer which you can wear during the day.

I enjoy using Yedda to ask and answer medical questions. I previously worked as a nurse but am now based from home - having just completed a long spell of breast cancer treatment.

Life has also been busy lately after the arrival of our new puppy called poppy. She's a black labarador retriever and drives us all crazy at times but we just adore the buzz she brings to the house. Last week she caused me a shoulder injury by tugging when out walking - but I can forgive that for the fun she brings.

Last month my husband invested in the Resperate device for lower blood pressure - and boy is it effective?

Other sites I like to visit are:

European Vacations

Whiplash Injury

Skin Treatment

Europe Vacation Destinations

Maori Tattoos

Lord of the Rings Jewelry

Travel Notes

See your dentist - they can do lots to stop your teeth from grinding at night and it makes a big difference very quickly
