Work hard or go home.

Hi Marc. I'm thinking that you probably can, but I would recommend speaking with your doctor before you start any type of lifting program (you don't want to "undo" whatever it is that the surgery was correcting). Your doctor should be better able to explain what it is you should be watching out for so you don't re-injure yourself. Good luck.

You be training the shoulder muscles hard for at least a few months after your surgery.  Physiotherapy is recommended to regain range of motion.  You will also want to perform plenty of rotator cuff exercises at this point as well (before any heavy lifting).  Make sure that you don't jump into heavy lifting too fast or you will re-injure!

Marc,  Before starting a weight lifting program, I would recommend your checking with your physician.
