Not sure about the insurance companies view on this but one of the problems with home blood testing machines is that they are prone to being inaccurate. This is a minor problem if the machine is testing your cholesterol level but could be catastrophic if it tests your INR and gets the answer wrong.
true story. however, glucose monitoring is also important. the machines must be checked for accuracy at least daily. they do sell these machines now. they are expensive but would pay for themselves in no time. ta ta
