The best way to be energetic is to take time out in the morning to do something that really makes you feel good. I spend 20-30 minutes every morning doing light exercises/yoga and meditation (http://meditationontwinhearts.org/). By the time I finish, I have a big grin on my face and I am ready to take the challanges that lay ahead during the day.

Exercise or walking outside (enjoying the nature) might work for you. The more control you have over your emotions, the better your quality of life will be.

If I feel tired during the day, I take 5 minute break and do deep breathing (works like magic) or do a stretch.

Someone mentioned thinking of blessings. I tried it recently and I was amazed how good I felt afterwards.

Exercise is being physically fit is the key.

skipping rope, jogging or even brisk walking will help you shed some pounds that slow you down and keep you moving. I find that if i don't workout for a couple of days, i feel sluggish and weak.

Using what you said as parameters, do exercise to reach that level of good feeling. If there is a psychological or guilt issue, that is something else.

Make sure you get enough sleep. Try to do the things you like to do. If you have boring chores to deal with do them first and regard them as being the gateway to those things that you like to do. Tell a few jokes to friends and entertain yourself with comedies, listen to music you enjoy. Try look at everything you do positively and not negatively. Make sure you maintain good health but avoid obsessive behavior that can destroy all enthusiasm.

This is a nutrition question. Energy comes from eating the right food at the right time.

It is not good enough to eat three balanced meals per day, but you should be eating at least 5 in which the in-between meals are small and may be something as simple as an apple or a yoghurt. In this way your body will also have the fuel needed for energy. You should discuss this with a nutritionist

In addition, intense aerobic exercise in the morning will definitely make you feel more energetic throughout the day, but this must be built up. Someone on the list, Adi, recommended: "Start walking, about 4.5KM in 45 minutes, 3-4 times a week." As you are only 22, this is slow, I am not sure if you are thin, normal or overweight. If you are overweight, this may be a bit fast. But take it as a starting point and every two weeks increase the time that you finish it.

Diet and exercise seems to be the popular answer.Thats because it's true. I like many others I have a hard time eating enough fruits and vegetables not cause I don't like them. But, to eat the recommended amount isn't very convenient. Plus with the mineral depletion in the soil the produce isn't what it used to be.  So I supplement and eat as many as I can. I've found that by doing this instead of trying to quit eating crap it quits me. My wife and I aren't overweight but we noticed we weren't getting any trimmer. Since we changed our diets we can't eat as much crap as we used to. Example we went to a restaurant that we hadn't been to in a while and ordered the usual. We we're very hungry and we couldn't even finish half of it and just a month or two prior we would have eaten it with dessert. Also, get up and move even if it's a walk or take the stairs and park far away from the places you shop and work. When I slump around all day and eat bad I feel the difference. If you want some recommendations on supplements let me know. They help sustain my energy levels throughout the day and I'm ready to sleep at night. I wake up noticeably more refreshed and ready for the day when I eat right and stay active. Hope this helps. Good luck!
