Fertility Stories - infertility experiences of people like you.

Dear Chrissy,

The fact that you have been untreated for a long time shouldn't change your chance of success in the future, once you do begin treatment. In the meantime, if you're overweight, consider a weight loss program. In some cases this actually cures PCOS.

Good luck,

I think it would be a good idea to be checked out at a low-cost clinic.  Also, some doctors will see you and help you, even if you don't have insurance.  They will keep the cost in mind.  It is very important to make sure that your body is healthy and that you are not unaware of something that you need to be aware of.  Also, it's not a good thing to play with your ability to have children.

I dont know much about this problem but i do know that a girlfriend of mine had it.  She did however ovulate every once in awhile getting a period very sporatically.  She was told by doctors that she would need to take hormones to get pregnant.  She has been married for a couple of years and doesnt use protection because she didnt think it possible to conceive.  Although 6 months ago she found out she was pregnant.  So you never know miracles can happen.  She didnt stress and it happened when she least expexcted.  Hope this gives you some hope.

I know exactly what your going through, i have PCOS. I belong to a website called

www.soulcysters.com, you should go there and read more on the conditions. I have been battling this issue for six years, and no luck. But i have read stories of women being put on glucaphage and clomid and successfully concieving. Thats my next step. Hope this helps you some.
