I won green card for my self and my wife. at ...

I won green card for my self and my wife. at present i am working outside from my motherland. can i come to the USA and attend to greencard initial work and retur to my job? how long it take to issue greencard to us? my wife isexpecting our baby in october 2008 so the baby wont get DV2008 visa since he's unborn is there a way to bring our child with us in January 2009 or will I able to get medical benifits if I come to US for the confinment?
