I chose not to suggest any reasons why some adult members might choose to hide their profiles. That is due in part to the fact that some people do such a thing for purposes that are, shall we say, not quite aboveboard as far as general behavior.
I felt that was better left unaddressed, at least insofar as the answer required for your particular question.
As far as the excessive blank space, I think sometimes that is just due to a system glitch. It may or may not vanish after awhile. If it doesn't, no problem - since what you saw was my complete response.
