I have a hamster. When I got her, I had to buy a cage, bedding (colored or plain), salad, pelets, water bottle, watter bottle holder, ball, wheel, chew toys ( such as wood sticks or hamster made pencils that you can buy at petco ), and any other toys or beds or caves or huts are optional. Also, if you want to save money you can use a toilet paper roll for a toy for a hamster.
