What do you guys think about this idea:
"Tonight, I was thinking about my studies. I was probing my mind with the concept of mindmaps, and then I thought that if everyone participated in creating mindmaps for theory modules, then it would create a more effective mindmap. But it would not be possible to get the support from everyone in creating mindmaps for each lecture in each theory module. I was also thinking about Freemind (a software that can be used in creating mindmaps). I was thinking on those lines, and then this IDEA struck my mind. What if all the students had laptops?
What if Freemind has the capability of working on a Wi-Fi network? What if students can work with Freemind during the lectures, online, and what if the lecturer can see what the students are creating, and respond to them in the same lecture? Wouldn't it be awesome? Better yet, what if I join up with some of my fellow classmates, and then write the software in that way? A software that combines the efforts of all the students and lecturers for them? Wouldn't it be awesome? And what if I'm able to create a device like amazaon's kindle, that would enable the creation of mindmaps independently? Without laptops? And what if the administration can also see the combined mindmap, and use it to measure the performance of the lecturers and instructors, and even students?
If such technology can be achieved, students will surely be more attentive during lectures. As students can see the combined mindmap being created in real time, during the lectures, they will be able to better understand the contents of the lectures, and better interact with each other regarding the content. At the same time, the lecturers and instructors can use the software to measure the content delivery performance, and act in real time to improve the performance thus making them more effective. Everyone will be benefitted, and everyone will be happy. But the problem of providing technical support would arise. This could even slow down the progress of lectures. But that can be corrected through rules and regulations by the college.
I know, I know. It is a crazy idea. But the idea kept disturbing me, and preventing me from my sleep. So I had to do something about it. That is why I wrote about it in my blog. Maybe it is stress. It is horrible when that happens. But if I can use it to my advantage, it would benefit everyone, and even help me with my financials."
