It is always better to do your own asking. He may have seen you getting your best frind to talk to him as very immature. You can't make someone like you. I really think you should start looking for someone else. He isn't interested.

I agree with Skitch. Getting your friend to ask out the guy you like for you is definitely not the way to start a relationship. For the future, always remember to be confident and be yourself and you'll find someone amazing.
