My grandfather is getting blind, he just starting to use recorded books, I wonder if there is a Gutenberg project like site for recorded books.
Not as wide as the Gutenberg project but there are a few options: if you are looking for some in Hebrew: http://msradio.huji.ac.il/wwwroot/ulpanpatuach.htm You can download some in English from the New York public library: http://ebooks.nypl.org/5882D1E2-CC05-4886-A6E0-57E93AAA18EA/10/206/en/BrowseAvailableAudio.htm And if you have no problem with going non-legal, there are a lot of them on e-mule or Kazza or other downloading websites, just look for your favorite author or type "Audio Book" and see what you come up with (at the moment I'm listening to Harry Potter 4) Also, blind library have books on tape and books on CDs that read by volunteers. USA: http://www.loc.gov/nls/ Israel: http://www.clfb.org.il/index-e.htm Also - if you want to pay for them, a lot of publishers have an Audio book section: http://www.randomhouse.com/audio/ AND! look what I just found! http://librivox.org/completed-books
