Where can I find some greatly needed assistance?

When one goes thru a life of nothing but hard times with everything going wrong until he reaches the half century mark of existence . . . at that point, all that can be done is to let all losses be forgotten as water under the bridge that shall never return as a new life begins. So with fifty years of very many living experiences I purchased a one way ticket from Chicago's O Hare to Manila Philippines that landed on December 1st, 2006. My purpose in coming here was two fold. I wanted and needed a woman to love, and I wanted and needed a very close walk with God. Now, two and one half years later, I can honestly say that God has fully answered my prayers regarding those two primary goals, and it has been a struggle, but a successful one. Now, here is my problem. I have zero income. My passport visa was last paid in August 2007, so now I owe 55,000 peso or thirteen hundred dollars. Mylene and I want to be married, but I can't even buy a her an inexpensive ring. I want to work with my hands, but have no tools. The home we rent might as well be a cave that has major needs of all things, or for that matter to just have about five thousand dollars would allow us to buy a lot and build our own bamboo or hollow block home. I fully understand prophecy concerning the USA and the whole world, and time is short, so all that I ask of life is just for a little happiness that I have never yet had while staying very devoted to God through full obedience just as the Word teaches. Mylene is a 1st grade school teacher that has had to get loans through payroll deductions. So now her monthly salary of 1,200 peso has been reduced to 4,500 which is about $80. Her parents that live in another part of the Philippines are very poor and with nothing, so each month Mylene sends them 1000 peso via western union. That’s $20, so her pay for us is then lowered to $60 a month. I have tried for many jobs, but there just are none here. I also have resumes out worldwide, but with my age, no travel funds, and an overdue amount to the Philippine bureau of immigration, it has just become as a useless effort. I would like to be active for God as my life’s priority. I also am a welder, mechanic, and many other hands on trades. If I had a small service vehicle with tools, I could at least work as a repairman on wheels capable of many various repairs depending on what tools and equipment I had to use. Any help at all would take us one step closer to a few joys of life that neither one of us have ever had. If you have any questions at all, please just feel free to ask. We do have a paypal account in the name of my wife to be soon as possible via blessings from God . . . Mylene Sunio is without question a gift from God to me through her faith and many qualities as a woman of God. Thank you, and May God Be With You Always Timesoftrouble.webs.com

Beloved, the Lord has blessed you with exactly what you asked Him for.  Thing is,  HE wants to be the Source of your happiness so that whether you have much or only have little, you will still follow Him and love Him, Sometimes we go after things in life and loose what we have trying to get it, until we reach a place where all we have is God. It's then that we realize, that God is all we truly need.

When we fully surrender all to God, and learn to trust Him with our whole being, and become willing, to be content with what we have, seeking His Will for our lives, and loving Him first and foremost, with all of our hearts, all of our minds, our souls and our strength.  Laying our desires down, even our own lives, and what "we" want for ourselves and our lives, in total surrender,  it is then that God opens  doors.

You took a huge step of faith and stepped out onto the water so-to-speak, your faith in God took you there and now that you have found your "love", your faith is being tested for purity, and whatever promises you made to God, before you left, you need to be sure in keeping your word to Him now. The Lord knows you have need of things, and He will provide for you and your wife,

But He also knows, that money and things of this life won't bring true happiness.  If I can't be happy/content with little, how will I be trusted and faithful to God with more?  When He said, it is the one who is faithful in little things, that can be trusted with much and given more. True happiness comes through walking close to God, and being led by the Holy Spirit within you. People and things in this world are temporary and pass away, things rust and rot away, everything on earth, returns to the ground. But the things of the Spirit, heavenly things, contain life and are eternal.

A man may make plans in his heart, but it is the LORD that brings them to pass. That's why Jesus said to seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness first, and all these things shall be added unto you.  Matt. 6:33 "No one comes unto the Father except through Me"  "I am the door'  "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life"  "Lest you humble yourselves as a little child, you cannot enter the Kingdom"

God doesn't do anything half way.  He's not going to leave you stranded there.  I truly believe with all my heart, from what you've shared, that the reason all of these things are happening the way they are with money and living situation, and all, is that the Lord is waiting for you to go all the way first, concerning your commitment to Him, There is something He's waiting for you to do or to let go of/give to Him, so that are able to receive all that He has planned for you in perfect peace.  I also believe, that He is doing a 'work' in you, so that He can work 'through' you, so  WHEN He does make the way for you & your wife to prosper and find happiness together, you will find what you've been searching for and come away from it with all the spiritual tools to be able to do what you've be chosen to do.  Whether that is in the Philippines  or the US, nothing is impossible for God.

Whatever His Will is for your life, you know, just submit to it with all your heart If you find a way to be content right where you are, with what He's already done and given you so far in your life, you will be blessed beyond measure.  Your cup will run over and when you reach this place in your walk with Him, you'll not only find that happiness you're searching for, you'll be able to say, from experience, with perfect confidence,  "The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not want",  Because you will want for nothing and know that you already have everything you need, as long as He is with you, and you with Him.  It is in Him alone, that we are completed and made whole.

I would love for you to keep me updated on how things are going, My email address is:  olsencanon@bresnan.net    Feel free to write any time, ok.  I will be keeping your situation in prayer.

Blessings!

Michelle

Miki, I would like to thank you for your words with all of my heart that God knows so very well. What you said is exactly what I feel and what I do beyond measure, but being only human, even with effectual and fervent non-stop prayers, I have been telling God word for word of his many promises that we all just have to wait for with unwavering faith while knowing that He cannot lie. It’s just when the eighteen years with God on mind and in heart has gone by with never having one single like minded brother, or church, it becomes very difficult to maintain without one word of encouragement from anyone. Through you, God has answered my many prayers. I have known for many years that He does indeed have a purpose with a plan for my life within these times in which we live. Back in the early 1990’s several years after my head injury in which a small portion of my brain was removed is when I had my beginning with God. When I finally received a settlement, my un-sharp mind and trusting heart cost me very much. One man alone went bankrupt on me, and I lost seventy five thousand unsecured dollars. I gave five thousand to a church building fund, was a lifetime member of Midnight Call. I donated too many help groups, and helped others that only ended up stealing from me. I sponsored a child, gave to Feed the Children, Good Will, a Shelter for Battered Women, and just an endless list. Because we all have our share of difficulties in life I will say no more on that subject. It’s just that when one who is in no way materialistic, but only wants a touch of total inner peace that he has never had, and has gone for three years of times harder than most can fully relate to, and turns to brothers in Christ only to have doors slammed with cruel words, it just becomes nearly too much. God has indeed blessed me with Mylene. I am 54, she is 36, and we have absolutely no life, yet with our shared faith, we have everything. Our funds for survival are about $15 per week, yet with here a little, and there a little, God has helped us, and in pure truth, without Him, we never would have made is as far as we have. I owe the Philippine bureau of immigration about 55,000 peso, yet still keep my faith. I have not had a meal of choice in three years, but still keep my faith. My teeth have problems, my back is bad, Mylene has some painful difficulties also, yet we both have full trust in God. Life is hard, yet we just keep on going day to day through faith and many prayers. Because God is my whole life, He knows my every thought, and every need. He also is fully aware of how I diligently seek Him as silver and hid treasure. Strong meat is all that I am fed, and am nothing without Christ. He loves them that love Him. Thank you, and may God bless you in great ways for the genuineness that I can feel within your heart and mind. Timesoftrouble@aol.com
