Get the grades up.

Honestly, it's great if he gets into the NBA.  He should train for it, have fun with it, be competitive and play to win.

He might still get a growth spurt.

But a back up plan to be the best in another area is good too.

i also have that dream i am short too i have a 4.0 GPA but i'm still believing never ever giving up. I'm starting to work out more often and be the best that i can be in everything. I would tell your son to chase your dream untill you acheive it. Make sure you tell him not to think about the NBA yet. You need to take it step by step and thats to big of a step. Set your goals a little closer and if you do that and work hard i guarantee you your son will be in the NBA. a lot of people say size matters but i don't think thats right i don't think size matters at all just take a look at mugsy bouges he was 5 foot 3 and he was a very good basketball player.if you do this correctly you could be short and still be better than guys who are 7 ft. Just remember CHASE YOUR DREAM and NEVER GIVE UP.
