good christians know to read the word of God from the king james bible.  that is my opinion.  here are a few good verses to read about God  and the devil.  we have been taught since children that the devil was bad.  flip wilson use to say " the devil made me do it " on his comedy show,  but there is nothing really funny about the devil.  he comes in many forms and today i belive like mike,  what form he is taking now.  we need to keep our Lord and his son Jesus in our heart and mind 24/7.

(8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

(9) Whom resist stedfast in the faith. KEEP GOD CLOSE.....

James 4:7

 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Colossians 1:13  
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated {us} into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Hebrews 2:9,14-15

Matthew 12:28-29
