How can a girl introduce herself to a guy in a "fun" way?

I am female college freshman and without sounding conceited, considered quite attractive. There is this cool looking guy who lives in a dorm across the street from mine and I  am dying to meet him, but don't know how to go about it. I sometimes go to his dorm to study with a friend and it was there that I first saw him. On another occasion, I was rushing to class and passed him as he was on his way to a different building. Once, we met as we were walking in different directions. He looked at me and my heart turned over, but I was very shy and just looked away. If that ever happens again, I wish there was someway I could say something to him to introduce myself in a casual way. I don't want to seem forward. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
