Is it a gas lighting log or a gas fireplace?

Not sure if I have a gas light log fireplace or a gas fireplace. How can I tell the difference? We have wood sitting on top of a rack with holes in it and a blue flame key switch outside. Previous owner burned logs in it. However, vent switch doesn't want to move, blower blows cold air and bricks are charred and cracked. So, I know it needs inspection and work. I just would like to know if it is gas light log or gas for safety reasons.
