Contemplating buying a condo with a direct vent ...

Contemplating buying a condo with a direct vent onto the balcony. Are there fumes coming out of the vent in a direct vent when the gas fireplace is on? We like to sleep with windows open & this would affect the air if its full of fumes & not possible.

There will be some fumes that will reach the balcony. Why not try to find a different solution such as connecting a line to the vent that will take the fumes away from your vicinity.
