You could try the desktop tower defense game.

It's supposed to be really addictive and fun...

There are a couple of recommendations I have.  If you are looking to laugh out loud and sprinkle some humor into your day I would go to

Cracked.com.  It has funny articles and video clips that are clever and satirical.  If you want something more interactive.  I would go to my favorite online games site Grab.com.  You can play games or chat with people and it's free.  Gold Miner is my favorite game right now.
