Let me try to understand this... are you

*paying* for an emule app.? Try Flashget, or Shareaza [http://www.shareaza.com/] for your eDonkey/eMule downloads. I thought eDonkey/Mule were dead anyway... And, PS: Shareaza is free and completely spyware free.

I don't believe there is an eMule mode which requires installation code and is not a leecher mode.

Can you give us the name of the mode you're trying to install? It's usually written in the installation's file name, and if it doesn't you can probably find it somewhere in the the installation screens.
