In the middle of febuary i had my thyriods removed ...

In the middle of febuary i had my thyriods removed dew to cancer.

So now i'm taking synthriod. But i've gained over 20 pounds. I was told it cound help me lose weight, I never had a weight problem before. so what am i doing wrong. I tried every deit i can think of, and not eating, and i'm walking every day. nothing has help. Is this what i can look foward to in the future? getting fatter"

I was late for work this morning, because I got stuck in Zeno's paradox

The thyroid produces hormones that (among other things) regulate your metabolism. An imbalance of these hormones could lead to a weight gain. It may be that you need to change your dosage of medication or perhaps switch to a medication that is more suited to your body. I suggest that you consult an endocrinologist.

 Have you noticed other symptoms, such as more/less energy, feeling warmer/colder than usual, using more/less salt on your food?
