I would suggest logging on to www.fixya.com and paying their $12.99 single-use fee to get the driver and manual information. If their experts can't help, you don't pay. It seems like yours might be an older camera, so that's why I'd go with some experts....it's a small price to pay. I've used them for car repair information, saving me literally hundreds at the dealer, as well as for info on an older laptop.
However, it also seems that the camera was made in Germany and marketed under other brands, such as Carena, Vivitar, and Seagull. Here's a link to information on the Carena SX300; look for the Craig's Camera info. Good luck!
