Watching my proud, beautiful 8 year-old daughter complete her 5-game soccer tournament undefeated - 105 degree heat! And knowing that I didn't push her into her sport. She loves the game; she made me take her to practice, instead of taking her to "meet the teacher" night! She is a daddy's girl; and I am a push-over.
I helped 2 of the parents mist all the girls with spray bottles of water, when they rotated, or were on their breaks; and watching all the little 7, and 8 year-old girls dump a cooler of water on the coach, after the last game! LOL - LOL. After being a parent for 28 years (And a Grampa!), I still learn humility, and enjoy it! Who she is, is what she has made of herself - I just nurture.
When they ask you in school, "What do you want to be, when you grow up?"
