"Most people see things as they are, and ask, 'why'? But I think of things that never were, and ask, 'why not'?" -- George Bernard Shaw.

I heard a GREAT song on TV when I was little.  I'm sure you can find it on www.youtube.com, and other places.  Just put it up on your browser.  It's called "HERE COMES SUSIE SNOWFLAKE", or just "SUSIE SNOWFLAKE"!

It's fun to make up "Filk Songs". These are songs with different lyrics than were originally wirtten. For instance, "Silver Bells", with it's reference to "It's Christmas time in the city", and "Soon it will be Christmas day", can be "filked" to something like this: Silver Bells, Silver Bells It's winter time in the city! Here them ring, Ting a ling Soon it will be New Year's Day! Or put any lyrics you like to any song you like. Like: "The Farmer in The Dell" can be changed to: It's winter and it's snowed It's winter and it's snowed... But the snow is only round my feet It's winter and it's snowed! It's winter and it's snowed Just like the weather report, On the TV show! The snow's now all around my ankles, now! It's winter and it's snowed! It's winter and it's snowed! The snow its really showed! The snow is up to my knees right now! It's winter and it's snowed! It's winter and it's snowed! I think that I should go Back home before it buries me! It's winter and it's snowed! It's winter and it's snowed, The wind's begin to blow! I'd better get home real fast! It's winter and it's snowed! I sure am going fast, But not too fast -- (I'm in a cast!) Will I make it home on time -- Oh, gosh, will I last? I've made it, I am home! No more in the snow, I'll roam Courage and strenghth I did show -- It's winter and it's snowed! Well, you get the idea! Happy filking!
