Find a new girlfriend.

A good way to get over an ex that dumped you and has a new bf is to do things that are fun for you. Treat yourself to anything and everything you want. Indulge yourself in whatever and have fun doing it. Go out on dates if you want. Hang out with friends. Read? Sleep. The internet. Anything. And forget her because if it's meant to be, she'll come back and if not then she wasn't really worth dealing with.

A new girlfriend is the obvious answer. Lots of girls is a close second.

I find lots of sport a good one, because it doesn't depend on other people. If you run, swim or bike, a lot and then some more, you tend to become happy after this activity and suffer too much during the exercise to be able to remember.

Ouch, I hate it when it happens.

Occupation is a good treatment- do anything you like and a lot , I wouldn't recommend heavy drinking it will only harm you. I would add that feeling real bad about it will help you too because i believe that if a person is really down and really depressed , sometimes he needs to feel even worse just in order to raise again. When you raise you have to disconnect from that girl and go on with your life. When you'll think it back you'll find out how stupid you were to waste your time being depressed about her. Life is Short never forget that....

In life you should learn how to close doors. This is a classic situation where that would help. Decide that this was a painful episode and continue from there. Go out with other girls and try to enjoy the date by not being uptight or recalling that "ex" behind the closed door. You will soon find the right one and that painful experience will no longer be painful and its memory will soon fade.

www.soyouvebeendumped.com it has a lot of helpful hints or tips of things to do or avoid doing...like the common misconception that dating someone new is the way to get over someone. All it does is supress the feelings you are having. You need to deal with it, let it out. I am going through the same thing and after reading through this website I feel like I am going to be able to finally make some progress. Trust me, another relationship will just mess  you up in the long run, it will feel fine now, but after a year or so and you are still thinking about the love lost it will still hurt...go to the website
