Yes you can freeze both of them no problem at all. Some cookies can be eaten straight from the freezer as the fat keeps them from getting too hard - butter cookies are the best.
Yes, icings should freeze well. I haven't tried it myself but think that frozen cake batter would affect the texture of the finished cake. If you don't have enough cake pans to bake a 2 or 3 layer cake, you can chill part of the batter while the other portion bakes.

As said by other folks, yes, icing freezes well. Freezing cake batter and then thawing it would definitely affect the finished cake. I wouldn't recommend it.

yes u cud freeze icing i don't tink u should freeze cake batter it wud definitely affect the finish product but ther is always a first time for everyting
