I have a Freeview box with hard drive.Is it possible to transfer any of the recorded material on to a dvd? What equipment would I need

Your Freeview box came with user's manual, or you can download it from manufacturer's site. The manual usually describes various functions the box can perform. It's hard to give you a definitive answer without knowing some details: model, manufacturer, etc. In a nutshell, you'll need to get the files from the box into your comuter hard drive, and then you could burn them on a DVD at least as a data. If you want the files play as a regular DVD, you would have to make some file conversions first
