I have been living in France for the past 20 years ...

I have been living in France for the past 20 years and am planning to come back to england to work. i was born in london and lived in england for 25 years. i was issued with a national insurance card when i left school at 16 in 1980. i now cant find my national insurance card. i have understood i have to contact my local dwp.?
