To be born free is a gift.

To live free is a privilege.

To die free is our duty.

A:

Thanks for your post, Gerry 1!

Forgiving my late mother in law has not been easy.  Some of the things she did and said about us still gall me.  By now, my late mother in law is frying miserably in hell and shall remain down there forever.  She did worse to her other family members than she did to us.  Every year we go to clean the cemetery but people who knew Melba Nugent don't do much to clean off her grave.

Finally the caretaker cleaned it, so the rest of the cemetery didn't look bad.

I know I shouldn't speak ill of the dead, but what she did to us was the worst sort of atheist ugliness.  Just the mention of her name is enough to make people stop, go a little cold, then we cheer up and get back to living.

I wish I could say it's all right now that she's gone.  Whatever fame she gained for herself as the town gossip is all in the negative.  I can't think of a good thing she ever did, and neither can anyone else.

The only good thing about her is that she is six feet underground and not likely to return.
