So how do I forget about "Screw this" and just say "Yes I will take everything"

So how do I forget about "Screw this" and just say "Yes I will take everything"
The anxiety that I am trying to control is feeling that if and when I do get my own place that I will say "OH heck with it I wont take all my clothes" And I dont want to feel this way.

I think it stems from when after my sister got married in 1976 my mom and I would put the out-of-season clothes in the den closet and I told her last spring I hate doing that so I dont do that any more. I now have the bigger half of the den closet to put any season clothes I feel like. I have tons of clothes in my bedroom closet as well as in my half of the den closet - hanging and in plastic bags. Before switching clothes no matter what the season the clothes stayed in my bedroom closet because the den was really my sisters bedroom - she lived home.

Also I think it stems from when I was switching back and forth there was one time when I was doing this and I said "Screw this" and I gave away 14 bags of clothing. But at that time I had to, those clothes had to be given away - they were in terrible shape.

However, all the clothes that I have now are from the thrift store and these clothes in wonderful shape and will last me forever.

I think the "screw this" part is because my mom's anxiety everything has to be in its place attitude. And this started right after the painting.

And when I have my own place I can get the place organized slowly, I wont feel anxious.

So how do I forget about "Screw this" and just say "Yes I will take everything"

The road to nowhere is paved with good intentions.

Hi voterperson. Yes, take all your stuff! Just make sure you get a place with an extra bedroom to use as a closet! That's what I did. I hung shelves and poles for everything, even put up a full length mirror and dressing table. My spare room has become my personal dressing room!
