I am replacing my bathroom floor subfloor and all. I will be using porcelain 3x6 tiles. What type of underlayment and adhesive grout should I use for a sound waterproof lasting installation?

The home depot has a user friendly guide for all types of projects. Start with this link for installing your underlayment. Then you can go to the project guide to start laying your tiles.

Make sure you use a 1/2" or 1/4" cement board (wonder board or dura-rock) assuming you are going over existing plywood. Use a Flex-Bond (thinset mortar) to set your porcelain tile. Use a matching(to match the color of your tile) color sanded grout (min.3/16" groutline). Seal your grout lines with a good quality "grout sealer" anytime after 72hrs. of grouting.

Hi,
Tile adhesive is not water proof! you can water resist with it. Use TP tile adhesive or ARDEX Floor & Wall Tile Adhesives specially designed for porcelain tiles, it is really helps you.
Have a nice day!
