Yes, if he signed the lease and is abusing the terms of the lease you can evict.

charley, you cannot get rent till you rerent, however you will get what is left on the lease agreement. Say it was a year lease, and it's only been 6 months, he has to pay for the next 6 months rent if HE broke the agreement. Depending on what's left time wise you could easily have the rental rented before that time. However getting the payment can be another story. Even though the judge will rule in your favor, if he should decide to disappear, and some do rather than fulfill their obligation, you could get left holding the bag.

You cannot collect double. If you re-rent the remaining time on original lease is not owed. You only collect for the time it was vacant as a direct result of the lease being broken ending in eviction.

 

Depends on your lease. Seems to me if it is listed in the lease and the lease states you can have your tenancy terminated for this then you are good to go. Have a lawyer look at your lease agreement and go from their.
