A:

For a baby blanket use 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 yards of fleece for top & same for back.  Wash & dry fleece first.  Square up your fleece & then with wrong sides together cut a 4" square out of each corner.  From the edge of the fleece measure up 4" & pin all the way around the blanket .  I use my thumb as a width guide (some people measure) & cut up to the pins.  Placing my thumb on the fleece I cut move my thumb over & cut again etc.  Either tie or use a square knot.  I tie a square knot alternating starting with the top piece & then the bottom piece.  Gives a nicer look. Go all the way around the blanket.  After all is tied wash & dry again.  For an adult blanket I use 2 yards of fleece. (4 total for top & bottom)  I usually use a print on the front & solid on the back.  Good luck.  Hope this helps.
