The Brighton Center has a Family Support program which helps families who are in need of emergency assistance. The program primarily serves Campbell County, however, residents of Kenton, Boone, Grant, Pendleton, Carroll, Owen, and Gallatin Counties are also assisted. The Family Support Program offers the following types of assistance: food, clothing, rent, deposit, housing searches, tenant/landlord rights, transportation, cleaning supplies, utilities, prescriptions, household items, personal items, diapers, furniture, baby items, USDA commodities, SHARE, and referrals to other agencies.

JUST LOOK IN THE PHONE BOOK AND CALL EVERY-ONE YOU CAN FIND CLOSE TO YOU UNTIL YOU COME TO ONE WHO CAN OR I SHOULD SAY WHO WILL HELP YOU .

H.E.A.P. ~~ Home Energy Assistance Program is for people who cannot afford to pay utilities and are faced with a shutoff notice.  Funds are administered by local Social Services Department (welfare).  You must go there with shutoff notice and picture identification.  Catholic Charities also helps (you do do have to be Catholic) with utilites and food vouchers.  Also, on your monthly bill you will see a place to check if you want to donate to those who cannot afford to pay bill.  Find out what the name of that organization is and where you go to receive their help.  If you call your electric co. they should be able to give you that info.  You cannot go to more than one agency as they are all tied together via computer and all have the same information on applicants and only disperse funds to any person one time.  (Sometimes it is twice if funding permits.   But, they will tell you if it is twice.  If not, ASK).  Note that you can get help once each year. 

Also, ask your doctor to request your service not be turned off as you are dependent on it to sustain life.  You would still be responsible for the bill.  But, at least if would delay a turnoff.
