We just joined a fitness club - how do we get the ...

We just joined a fitness club - how do we get the maximum results.  I know you are supposed to alternate muscle groups.  If going to a gym 4-5 days a week - what would be a good schedule to follow?  Also our son who is 14 - is 5 feet, 7 inches and weighs 185 pounds.  Should he follow a different schedule - what weights should he use?

One of the best ways to utilize a fitness center is work with a personal trainer at least once to show you how to use weight resistance machines and free weights. Many clubs have special prices for multiple sessions and or with multiple people. Ask. I go to my ladies-only fitness center 4 days a week. I take a Yoga/Pilaties class on Monday, use machines and free weights Tues, Thurs, & Sat. You should allow one day between weights to allow muscles to rest and/or heal. Can't help with your son, sorry. You have made an excellent life choice. Best of luck.

You would not had a problem of the schedules and the weights that is appropriate for your son and for you because their is an personal trainer who will assist you. If you are in a fitness club, you can find a personal trainer their and you can ask it to him all your question about on what is right for you and your son.
