If you are refering to the automatic hook setter, they are ok, they do work, I test everything I see that looks like it might be interesting to other fishermen.
For kids or people who are hangin out, bbq or whatever, it is kind of a novelty. Like jug lines and noodlin'.
What is great for one fisherman may not work for another. Might also e good for older fishermen that want to catch fish but don't set the hook as good as they used too.
So, no I wouldn't use an automatic hook setter very often at all because half of the fun is trying to hook them little rascals to me, but I do know they work and are perfect for somebody somewhere.
