Would you fish if you owned a Automatic Hook-setter so you wouldn't waste your time staring at a fishing pole and you would only have to reel the fish in?

Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

If you are talking about this one for $6.00, I am willing to at least give it a try. If I don't like it, well I didn't spend a fortune.

Never, it is probably the most single-handed stupidest thing i have ever seen, this is like letting someone else catching the fish for u, and then giving u the rod to reel in, it's just another way to make people fat and lazy, and for fishing, it's just dispicable.  i would NEVER use this.  taking away from the sport of fishing is like taking the ball out of Soccer, it just make's it boring.

If you are refering to the automatic hook setter, they are ok, they do work, I test everything I see that looks like it might be interesting to other fishermen.

For kids or people who are hangin out, bbq or whatever, it is kind of a novelty. Like jug lines and noodlin'.

What is great for one fisherman may not work for another. Might also e good for older fishermen that want to catch fish but don't set the hook as good as they used too.

So, no I wouldn't use an automatic hook setter very often at all because half of the fun is trying to hook them little rascals to me, but I do know they work and are perfect for somebody somewhere.
