Most varieties of roofing seem to be fireproof (metal, clay tile, slate) except for asphalt shingle roofing or wood shake roofing. Do they make fireproof versions of these?
Home improvement projects, "Get'er done."
The fiberglass-based variety of asphalt shingles offers excellent fire resistance when installed with fire-code-compliant underlayments. There are wood shingles on the market that are treated in the factory to resist fire. You can also have pre-installed wood shingles treated but are slightly less effective than the factory finished type.
