How much is the going rate for a housesitter these days? Just for the basic staying there? I realize extra jobs cost more, but I am wondering what the going base line pay might be?

I assume you're referring to having someone take care of your animals? I have read that it's around $15 per day. Obviously, the person just comes by a couple times a day and does whatever you need them to do. Usually when someone comes to my house, we'll ask them to do other things for some extra money, like give the dogs a bath for an extra $10. I hope this helps.
