what dangers could i incure of donating an egg if i do not have any child of my own and am 30years
Fertility Stories - infertility experiences of people like you.
The process of egg donation has the same risks as IVF - ovarian hyperstimulation and the risks associated with egg retrieval.
Hyperstimulation occurs in about 5% of cases, due to the hormones used to produce a large number of ova in a single cycle.
Egg retrieval is sometimes performed under general anesthesia. Personally, I have not heard of anyone who was harmed by this, but it is something worth asking about. Infection can also be a risk.
The fact that you have not had children doesn't change the risks.
Good luck!Rachelhttp://www.fertilitystories.com
